About This Event

Please Note: If you have registered for a previous GW virtual networking event simply click here to login and complete your registration process.

Are you an alumnus with advice for current students interested in marketing? Do you want to volunteer to share your experience in the marketing industry? Is there something you wished you had known when you were in school?

Are you a current student seeking resume and networking advice from someone working in marketing? Do you want to prepare for upcoming interviews and make connections with alumni?

During this hour-long online networking event, current students will be paired with alumni in marketing for several text-based chats, providing students with the opportunity to build their GW network and enabling alumni to share their experiences and serve as a volunteer for the student community.

About the Event

You can participate in this virtual networking event from wherever you are - at home, at the office, or on the road.

While registering for the event, you will be asked to answer a few questions, including:

  • “What can you provide or share?” - For example, what experiences, advice, or connections do you have to share with current students? For current students, this question can be answered by providing information about your major, extracurricular activities, and professional interests.
  • “What are you seeking?” - For example, what questions do you have for alumni about preparing for a career in marketing? For alumni, this question can be answered by indicating what information recent graduates can share about their experience – or what’s happening at GW today.

This information will help to spark the conversation when you enter the event and are paired with a student/alumnus for brief, timed, text-based conversations that will allow you to make a connection, share advice, learn from each other, and build your personal and professional alumni network. We hope you’ll join us for this fun, flexible, and unique opportunity to offer advice to current students in marketing – and to connect with alumni from across the country and around the world!
